About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team at WesTrac. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving commercial growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire new customers and nurture existing relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Product Support Manager to ensure seamless support for our current customers and efficient onboarding for new clients.
  • Conduct frequent site visits to our customers to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage fluctuating workloads and conflicting priorities to achieve tight deadlines.
  • Analyse data and compile reports to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a sales role, preferably in the Used Oil Analysis industry or Construction/Mining Equipment industries.
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Trade Certificate post trade experience in a relevant field.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Commercial, Marketing or Business disciplines).
  • Previous experience within an Account Management role or Customer Support role.
  • Knowledge of Construction and Mining Equipment or related industries.
