Lifestyle Coordinator

About the Role

  • Design and execute engaging lifestyle programs for residents.
  • Supervise, coordinate and participate in daily delivery of lifestyle and therapy activities under direction of Facility Manager and Occupational Therapist.
  • Promote facility's lifestyle programs during admission process, discuss dining options with new residents, assist with settling into room and orientation into facility.
  • Serve as resource to uphold excellence in dining principles and act as liaison between resident food services and facility management to ensure individualized requests are met.
  • Manage lifestyle programs including intergenerational activities, bookings and bus trips.
  • Organize resident and relative meetings.
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts.
  • Regularly attend dining services meetings.
  • Be available to address resident and family inquiries.

Requirements of the Role

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and within team environment.
  • Hold genuine interest in working with older people.
  • Experience in Therapy essential.
  • Experience in Aged Care desirable.
  • Experience in Hospitality desirable.
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher qualification required.
  • Proven experience in coordinating enjoyable lifestyle programs in aged care required.
  • Full Australian working rights and national police clearance required.
Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service, organizational and leadership skills, along with relevant experience in therapy, aged care and hospitality sectors. A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent is mandatory.

Additionally, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, hold a genuine interest in working with older people and demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills are essential.
