Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to help support our team of software technologists. This role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with analytical capabilities to drive financial operations and strategic decision-making in a distributed work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily AR, AP, and general ledger operations with flawless bank reconciliations.
  • Streamline invoicing processes and ensure accurate expense capture.
  • Navigate multi-state payroll tax and Workers Compensation requirements.
  • Coordinate R&D and tax compliance with external experts.
  • Create P&L reports by consultant and build dynamic financial dashboards.
  • Monitor utilisation rates and uncover cost-saving opportunities.
  • Optimise time tracking and develop efficient finance policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance + 3+ years experience.
  • Xero accounting software expertise.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Multistate payroll tax, workers compensation, and multi-currency knowledge.
  • R&D taxation regulation understanding + current Criminal Record check.
