Classroom Teacher Opportunity

This role presents a chance to contribute significantly to the educational journey of students at Hoppers Crossing Secondary College. Our college prioritizes academic excellence and fosters an inclusive environment where students can grow and thrive.

The successful applicant will be passionate about teaching and learning, with a strong ability to engage students and promote their academic growth. They will be responsible for planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated teacher who can contribute to our school community. The ideal candidate will have experience in responding to student learning needs, planning for and implementing effective teaching strategies, and monitoring student progress.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues and other stakeholders to provide support to students, parents and the broader school community. You will also have opportunities to participate in professional development and engage in ongoing reflection and improvement of your teaching practice.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant curriculum and ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating impact on student learning growth
  • Ability to monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community
  • Behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values and willingness to engage in professional learning to improve teaching practice
