About Our Team
  • We are seeking an exceptional Research Laboratory Manager to join our team and lead the operations of our research group.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will develop and implement strategies to support laboratory activities, ensuring maximum research efficiency for our team.
  • As a leader, you will supervise research staff and students, including monitoring and facilitating undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects.
  • You will consult with stakeholders to achieve research outcomes, build strong relationships, and represent our team at UNSW work areas and meetings.
  • Additionally, you will manage a tissue culture facility, including inventory control and stocking essential consumables to support uninterrupted research.
Your Requirements
  • A PhD in Chemistry with substantial post-graduate experience and highly developed chemical synthesis skills is required.
  • Familiarity with synthetic chemistry, cell biology, and measurement science is desirable but not necessary.
  • Experience managing inventory and purchases via Jaggaer or equivalent is also desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to influence senior management and stakeholders are essential.
  • You should be able to work collaboratively within a team, independently, and manage competing demands.
