Job Opportunity

The Motor Underwriter role is a key position within our organization, playing a vital part in driving profitable growth through our Broker partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing and Policy Management: Determine effective pricing strategies and negotiate policies to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Renewals and Endorsements: Manage renewals, endorsements, and new business opportunities to achieve financial targets.
  • Service Level Standards: Maintain and exceed service level standards to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Compliance: Uphold ethical and regulatory standards across the agency, adhering to underwriting guidelines and target market determination.
  • Broker Liaison: Establish strong relationships with brokers and business partners at company events and industry gatherings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within Insurance in Underwriting/Broking/Motor Claims.
  • Industry-recognized qualifications or comparable experience.
  • Strong customer service focus, particularly in intermediated distribution channels.
  • Effective communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to learn and use initiative.
  • Ability to build strong broker/market relationships.
  • Capacity to make informed business decisions, considering legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Data-driven mindset to analyze patterns, ask insightful questions, and drive meaningful actions for success.
