Role Summary:

The Communications Advisor plays a key role in the Eastern Health team, supporting internal stakeholders and delivering strategic communication advice to meet agreed objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting internal stakeholders and delivering strategic communication advice
  • Developing high-quality strategic communication plans with measurable outcomes
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing excellent communication services
  • Liaising effectively and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (communication/media/marketing)
  • Demonstrated management or leadership experience at a team or department level
  • Proven experience developing high-quality strategic communication plans with measurable outcomes
  • High level interpersonal skills and ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively
  • Experience using digital communication platforms particularly as it relates to internal communication
  • Some experience in proactive and/or reactive media management including crisis communications
  • Experience in delivering or supporting events to an internal and external audience
  • High level of writing skills including in the development and delivery of publication projects from start to end
  • Excellent time management with demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and adapt to changing demands
  • Able to travel between Eastern Health sites and support the delivery of communication deliverables
