Financial Compliance Expert

The role of this position is a critical component of our Regulatory Operations branch, reporting to the Manager of Supervision.
This specialist will drive operational work in support of monitoring and supervising regulated entities across various industries including banking, gambling, remittance, and digital currency exchanges.
The position entails evaluating the behaviour of these entities by developing regulatory activities, supporting thematic reviews, reviewing and analysing documents, creating assessment plans, and leading strategies for responding to compliance issues.
This involves working closely with other parts of the agency to develop solutions, maintaining an understanding of relevant laws, processes, and regulations, and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include staff performance management, contributing to executive briefings, and providing technical expertise.
To be successful in this role, you will require strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and stakeholder engagement, and attention to detail.
Please note that eligibility requirements include being an Australian citizen and undergoing security assessments.
