Our client, a prominent and diverse financial services organization, is in search of a Senior Trading Application Support Analyst to enhance their Sydney office. This role involves collaborating with a global production support team, focusing on daily operational support for Capital Markets Brokerage Trading Applications.

Essential Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) and have a background in supporting investment banking or capital markets trading environments.

This position is offered as an initial 9-month contract with a competitive daily rate ranging from $80 to $110 per hour, inclusive of superannuation.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be part of the Capital Markets team within the Asset Servicing division, providing Production Support at the Analyst level. The role requires independent work within a global support framework, delivering daily regional assistance for Capital Markets Brokerage Trading Applications.

As a Trading Desk IT Analyst, you will be accountable for 24/7 production support across various regions, including APAC, EMEA, and North America, ensuring seamless operations for multiple Capital Market applications. This position is integral to a global support team operating under a follow-the-sun model, collaborating with business and operational partners while coordinating with upstream and downstream application teams.

Key Duties:

  • Provide both technical and functional support across diverse technologies utilized by Brokerage Capital Market applications.
  • Assist business and operations partners, while maintaining effective communication with upstream and downstream application teams.
  • Availability for work Monday through Friday, with expectations for escalation from business units or team members.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of brokerage operations or any other OMS trading support functions.
  • It is expected that the candidate will work on-site in the Sydney office at least five days a week.

The successful candidate will exhibit exceptional communication skills and a robust understanding of various technologies within a financial institution, particularly in trade applications.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in financial markets is essential, particularly with OMS in direct support of trading teams.
  • Strong communication skills are required to interact confidently with traders, alongside a solid grasp of technologies in financial institutions.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with FIX Protocol is necessary.
  • In-depth functional knowledge of Brokerage or Security Finance is required.
  • Approximately 3-7 years of experience in any OMS, particularly Flextrade, is highly regarded.
  • Experience in Onsite/Offshore models, especially in supporting APAC, UK, and US business lines.
  • Familiarity with incident management, ticket workflows, and escalation processes. Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL methodologies is mandatory.
  • Adaptability to change, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents effectively.

Compensation: This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $85 to $110 per hour, depending on experience, and successful candidates will be engaged as on-site contractors through Anton Murray Consulting.

Eligibility: Candidates must be Australian citizens or hold permanent residency in Australia. Additionally, they should be available to work from 7 am to 5:30 pm.
