Role: Skilled Practitioner of Patient Care

Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton seeks experienced nurses to collaborate in delivering comprehensive patient care. The successful candidate will have a commitment to ongoing service development and a focus on enhancing patient well-being.

  • The ideal applicant will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored care plans, prioritising patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • They will maintain accurate records, educate patients and their families on healthcare matters, and monitor responses to treatments and medications.
  • The nurse will ensure adherence to infection control protocols and contribute to the orientation and training of new staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on various aspects of healthcare.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments and medications.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as an Enrolled/Registered/Clinical Nurse (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated high levels of communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function within a dynamic team environment.
  • Prior experience with administering chemotherapy and CVADS is desirable.
