Workday Payroll Implementation Specialist

The Workday Payroll Implementation Specialist plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business and technical teams by resolving intricate Workday intersystem challenges. This individual guides clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation, requiring a strong technical aptitude and ability to configure projects according to business and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert in Workday Payroll product configuration, with knowledge of design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Utilize expertise to provide recommendations based on client requirements, timeframe, and flexibility to adapt scope as needed.
  • Guide clients through design sessions and configuration decisions based on best practices and business needs.
  • Support clients throughout all project phases, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to Workday Payroll.
  • Perform tasks under limited supervision, keeping clients, project team, and Engagement Manager informed of progress.
  • Collaborate with the integration team to configure and test integrations with payroll and benefits providers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • Workday Payroll implementation experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of Workday functional implementation experience highly desired.
  • 2-5 years of HR, Payroll, or Financial software experience preferred.
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing, testing, and implementing solutions under deadlines.
  • Minimal travel required; willingness to travel on-site if needed.
