About the Role

In this key position with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, you will play a crucial role in shaping the content strategy for our digital platforms. As a Streaming Manager, you will be responsible for planning and managing the curation of content on ABC iview, ensuring that it meets the needs of our diverse audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Optimise curation by frequently reviewing the content mix on ABC iview, informed by performance analysis and programming priorities.
  • Manage and drive the daily creation and implementation of plans, including the maintenance of ABC iview planning documents, launch publishing, and metadata entry, to optimise search and personalisation.
  • Utilise various tools and levers to curate collections and audience offerings, prioritising content in line with content strategy.
  • Optimise metadata to constantly improve personalisation connections, and work with the Metadata & Platform team to continuously improve functionality and efficiency.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Streaming Manager to join our team. You will have a strong background in program scheduling, rights, and operational requirements, as well as exceptional experience implementing distribution procedures and programming strategies.

Requirements

  • Expert ability to analyse complex information and research and compile information of a specialist nature.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to communicate both written and verbally in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated significant team leadership experience with the ability to mentor and motivate staff.
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills and demonstrated ability to provide effective operational support while working within a deadline.
