Job Title: Community Support Officer

We are seeking a Community Support Officer to join our after-hours operations team on a casual basis in Canberra.



About the Role

As a Community Support Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents and managing the building during overnight hours.



Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor building security and safety, performing perimeter checks and resolving issues or emergencies that arise while on duty.
  • Carry out administration tasks, including maintaining records, processing payments, and reporting.
  • Effectively manage incidents during night shifts, including grievances and conflict resolution.
  • Act as a support to residents, providing a friendly and open point of contact for assistance, information, and welfare.
  • Respond to resident calls about noise or disturbances within the building and lockouts.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions as required.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A National Police Check (completed within the last 3 months)
  • A Working with Vulnerable People's Check
  • Valid work rights in Australia
  • A First Aid & CPR Certificate
