Career Opportunities in Technical Theatre

We're looking for skilled professionals who share our passion for innovation and creativity.

As a key member of our technical operations team, you'll be responsible for coordinating resources, working with the BOH lighting team, and ensuring seamless delivery of touring shows. You'll also play a critical role in staff supervision, recruitment, and maintaining records of assets, training, and documentation throughout the Theatre.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A tertiary qualification in a specialised field (Lighting)/Technical Theatre or similar
  • A minimum of 5 years senior technical lighting experience with emphasis on Theatre Stage Productions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • 1 year experience in administrative functions, including rostering, register creation/maintenance
  • Strong computer skills, with high proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to analyse problems, troubleshoot, and implement solutions
  • Demonstrate staff supervision skills, including recruitment, selection, induction, performance evaluation, and discipline
  • Knowledge and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity, and Ethical practice
  • Organisational ability, including time management, task prioritisation, and resource scheduling
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Addtional Requirements

This role requires:

  • Working at Heights certificate and White Card
  • EWP License
  • Forklift license
  • Rigging certificate
  • Preparedness to work outside normal business hours
  • Experience in the use of CAD
