Lighting Operations Specialist

The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of lighting systems in a live theatre setting, ensuring seamless delivery and execution of technical requirements for shows.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with technical teams to ensure timely preparation and deployment of lighting resources
  • Supervise lighting technicians in their daily tasks, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of staff rosters, training programs, and asset management

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in senior technical lighting roles, preferably in theatrical settings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Administrative experience including rostering, record-keeping, and training program development
  • Proficiency in computer software, particularly Excel, with ability to analyze data and identify solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including recruitment, induction, training, and performance management

  • Organisational abilities, including time management, task prioritisation, and resource scheduling

Additional Requirements:
  • Working at Heights certification and White Card
  • EWP License and Forklift license (advantageous)
  • Rigging qualifications (advantageous)
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours, as required
