Reliability Engineer

About the Role
Ventia is a leading provider of essential services, built on over 100 years of combined knowledge and experience. We have a proud heritage and a strong commitment to safety, client satisfaction, and community engagement. As a Reliability Engineer, you will be working in the Illawarra region, within our longstanding BlueScope Plant Maintenance Contract. Your role will be to improve maintenance strategies, engineering documentation, and spares management at the PCI plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to improve plant reliability and performance.
- Lead the development and review of asset strategies to ensure maintenance practices are aligned with operational requirements.
- Coach and mentor the maintenance team to adopt a defect elimination mindset.
- Prepare and manage budgets and costs for maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role or a strong background in maintenance and reliability engineering.
- Sound knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance, KT, RCA, Defect Elimination, and Lean methodologies.
- Financial awareness and budgeting experience.
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills.
