About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our Paint Finishing Department (PFD) Maintenance team at our Port Kembla Springhill Manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering sustained improvement in process uptime and unit cost reduction to our plant assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor maintenance team members to identify and close technical knowledge gaps
  • Provide automation control system technical support, advanced problem-solving, and fault-finding
  • Analyse plant and equipment performance data to identify patterns and ensure recurring problems are resolved
  • Lead and facilitate multi-disciplined teams to identify and implement asset and cost improvement projects
  • Supervise maintenance activities and strive for business improvements and manufacturing excellence
  • Develop and maintain the maintenance strategy and capital project plans to increase reliability and minimise cost
  • Identify and lead cost reduction activities by implementing strategies to improve the efficiency of the R&M spend
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a well-versed industrial tradesperson with a Diploma of Engineering
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself, your team, and others
  • Experience working in a similar industry within Maintenance, with a strong focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability
  • Experience or exposure with fault finding PLCs and motor control systems
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a manufacturing team, influencing peers and colleagues to meet operational requirements, scheduling, and people demands
