About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security professional to join our team as a Head of Group Cyber, Business Protect. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in enabling a culture of cyber security and safety within Coles Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly reporting to our General Manager of Group Cyber & Identity, you will provide strong strategic and delivery leadership to Coles's security design capability.
  • You will set the vision for security design and be accountable for delivering the controls as part of the security design function.
  • You will ensure secure-by-design principles are baked into the SDLC for 100% strategic projects.
  • You will communicate data security requirements to key stakeholders.
  • You will promote and ensure all Group Cyber requests come via the Cyber Front Door.
  • You will drive self-service initiatives by way of questionnaires, templates and how-to documents to increase stakeholder security knowledge and drive team efficiencies.
  • You will track and report secure design team's progress against scorecards.
  • You will empower and coach secure design team members.
About You

You will be an experienced leader within security design with a passion for driving change, diversity, and delivery across the organisation.

  • You will have extensive Cyber Security experience working with Cyber management frameworks, including ISO, PCI-DSS and NIST.
  • You will have experience managing and coaching a team of highly skilled Cyber Security specialists.
  • You will have broad experience across multiple Security domains including cryptographic systems, identity and access management systems, network design, firewall management, web technologies, cloud computing technologies, regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g. PCI-DSS, Privacy Legislation).
  • You will have experienced in tracking team capacity and reporting of recoverability targets against actuals.
  • You will have understanding of Cyber Security policies and standards, and security requirements across the systems lifecycle.
  • You will have reporting to senior management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and non-compliance.
  • You will have influencer and sharp communicator who builds rapport with key stakeholders.
  • You will have ability to develop and enable Secure Design Strategy.
  • You will have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will have excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • You will have ability to attract, hire, retain and motivate Cyber Security talent.
  • You will have managing diverse and creating high performing teams.
  • You will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of cyber risk concepts and principles.
