We are seeking an Event Rigger to execute a variety of event rigging tasks, assist the rigging team on larger or more complex events, and lead the rigging team on smaller events. Working mainly in hospitality or convention/exhibition centers, this role will uphold the highest standards of customer service and safety.

The Event Rigger will prepare rigging equipment, tools, and safety gear as per event requirements, ensuring all equipment is in service and fit for use. They will also ensure all rigging is performed safely, complying with legislative, manufacturer, and industry best practices.

This role involves de-prepping rigging equipment, tools, and safety gear, ensuring proper packing, storage, maintenance, and reporting of defective equipment. The successful candidate will have experience in the Events Industry, EWP & Intermediate Riggers certification, and ability to work as part of a team in a hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing rigging equipment, tools, and safety gear
  • Ensuring safe rigging practices
  • De-prepping rigging equipment, tools, and safety gear
  • Interpreting rigging plots, CAD plans, working load limits, and calculating loads accurately
