**Job Title:** Spiritual Support Professional

**Role Overview**

This role is part of our Mission team, providing meaningful spiritual support services to individuals in our care across Uniting in Richmond. This position focuses on delivering compassionate care that aligns with Uniting's values and principles.

As a Spiritual Support Professional, your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Pastoral Care team
  • Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders
  • Engaging in continuous professional, personal, and spiritual development
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting

**Essential Criteria**

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • One or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent
  • Relevant pastoral or theological studies

Your experience should demonstrate:

  • A proven ability to work effectively within a large, complex organization
  • An understanding of spiritual and pastoral needs related to vulnerable populations
  • Demonstrated empathy and compassion when interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Familiarity with the distinctions between religion and spirituality
  • A basic understanding of various faith traditions
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • A passion for promoting social change and contributing to an organization that supports marginalized communities

**Preferred Qualifications**

A graduate degree in a relevant field would be beneficial.
