We are seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Pastoral Care Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing meaningful pastoral care services to individuals across our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Collaboration: Contribute towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the pastoral care team by working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Relationship Management: Engage in effective and nurturing relationship management, building strong connections with individuals and teams across the organisation.
  • Personal and Professional Development: Maintain continual professional, personal, and spiritual development, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and effective documentation and reporting systems, ensuring that important information is recorded and communicated efficiently.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent experience.
  • Pastoral or Theological Study: Hold relevant pastoral or theological qualifications, demonstrating a solid understanding of spiritual needs and principles.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a large, complex organisation.
  • Vulnerability and Empathy: Demonstrate empathy and affinity with vulnerable individuals, understanding their unique needs and experiences.
  • Spirituality and Faith: Possess a demonstrated understanding of the distinctions between religion and spirituality, as well as a basic understanding of different faiths.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Display highly effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including moderate computer skills.
  • Social Change and Influence: Demonstrate a passion for social change and contributing to an organisation with influence for the most disadvantaged.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A graduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
