Perioperative Anaesthetic Nurse

As part of our dynamic Perioperative Services team, we have a permanent part-time opportunity available at 24 hours per week.

  • Assist with the management of anaesthesia care, including preoperative assessment and intraoperative monitoring.
  • Ensure patient safety during anaesthesia, manage potential complications, and maintain a high level of clinical expertise.
  • Provide effective post-anaesthesia care and manage postoperative recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the nursing team to deliver high-quality care.
  • Act as a patient advocate and ensure optimal outcomes throughout the perioperative journey.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and sustainability of our department.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse (no restrictions).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as an Anaesthetic Nurse in a hospital setting.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and clinical judgment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • A passion for delivering patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
