We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Minor Injuries Practitioner to provide frontline care and management of patients presenting with undifferentiated minor injuries and ailments. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centred care.
The ideal candidate will have substantial post-registration practice in Minor Injury Unit (MIU), Emergency Department or similar, and current professional registration - NMC / HCPC. Postgraduate specialist training to degree level in a relevant subject area which must incorporate minor illness is also essential.
This role requires continuous professional development and training sessions, along with maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
About This RoleAs a Minor Injuries Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with minor injuries and illnesses. Your duties will include wound closure, minor joint and fracture reduction, and radiological requests within protocols.
You will also play a key role in educating patients and families about injury prevention and post-treatment care.
