We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to work on a variety of heavy diesel equipment including earthmoving machinery and trucks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy diesel maintenance and repair, with experience working on Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi equipment. They will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing and repairs as directed by site supervisors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and repairing heavy diesel equipment, ensuring it operates safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime
  • Inspecting equipment and developing scopes of work for repairs and maintenance
  • Using diagnostic tooling to diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Liaising with site supervisors to ensure effective communication and collaboration

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade)
  • A current WA HR Licence, White Card and Forklift Ticket
  • The ability to complete a pre-employment medical screening and police check
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work unsupervised as an individual or as a team member
