Senior Business Intelligence Developer

The role of a Tableau Data Visualization Expert involves serving as a technical resource for specific departments or functional areas. Key responsibilities include developing and modifying reports and dashboards, providing connections to new and existing data sources, preparing data for use in Tableau, developing extracts, publishing data sources and workbooks, and performing complex technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Preparation: Ensure data is ready for analysis by cleaning, transforming, and loading it into Tableau.
- Data Connections: Set up connections to various data sources, including databases, files, and APIs.
- Report and Dashboard Development: Create interactive and informative reports and dashboards using Tableau's visualization tools.
- Data Modeling: Apply data modeling techniques to identify patterns and relationships in the data.
- Publishing Workbooks and Data Sources: Deploy workbooks and data sources to production environments.
- Extract Refreshment: Regularly update extracts to ensure accurate and up-to-date data.
Requirements:
- Required 5+ years of experience in developing business intelligence solutions with Tableau (including recent experience in Tableau 10).
- Advanced SQL skills and ability to write optimized queries.
- Thorough understanding of data warehouses and dimensional models.
- Ability to perform data wrangling, be it live or TDE or data blending etc. before connecting to data source from Tableau client.
- Generate operational reports, BI reports, dashboards and data models for various business units through advanced use of Tableau.
- Experience scoping, requirements gathering, implementation, training and ongoing maintenance of multiple reporting systems and related tools.
- Employ root cause analysis for data quality analysis, redundancy elimination, source identification and data reconciliation.
