- We're looking for a skilled professional to support us in developing, maintaining and reviewing procurement systems and practices.
- The successful candidate will administer our operational procurement functions, ensuring they are delivered within best practice environments.
About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment. As a Procurement Specialist, you'll work closely with our Financial Services and Corporate Services teams to streamline procurement operations, enhance systems and processes, and ensure compliance with policy and financial best practice.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and review procurement systems and practices to ensure they're delivered within best practice environments.
- Administer operational procurement functions, ensuring they're compliant with relevant legislation, policies and guidelines.
- Provide guidance across the organization on procurement-related matters, including provision of related training.
You Will Possess
- An associate diploma or equivalent with relevant work experience, or a relevant degree.
- Experience providing accurate advice about procurement and financial operation functions and procedures in a medium-sized organization.
- The ability to interpret and apply State Purchasing Policy or equivalent.
- Experience in the development, implementation and review of procurement and financial operation systems, policies and procedures.
- High-level experience using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant experience in the higher education sector and knowledge of local government legislative, tendering and procurement practices.
- Membership of industry bodies relevant to the position.
- Previous experience with Technology One CiA and web page development.
