We are seeking a highly motivated professional to lead community safety initiatives and emergency management planning.
About the RoleThe Community Safety and Emergency Management Lead will play a pivotal role in developing and coordinating strategies that enhance community safety and build emergency preparedness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team, driving performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of community safety services and emergency management activities.
- Coordinate emergency response and maintain key emergency, fire, and business continuity plans.
- Represent on emergency management committees and manage relationships with stakeholders.
- Support community engagement, education, and legal processes related to community safety.
- Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in community safety or emergency management.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, develop strategic plans, and work independently.
- Experience with grant applications, project reporting, and acquittals.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
