Job Title: Postnatal Service Leader

This pivotal role requires a Registered Midwife or Nurse and Midwife with strong leadership skills, effective communication abilities, and experience in management and problem-solving.

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional care and empowering new families.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Postnatal Ward and Home Visiting Service with a focus on quality patient care and staff development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, service efficiency, and staff engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes open communication, respect, and trust.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics, and competency standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant nursing and/or midwifery practices, including legislative requirements and industry standards.
