We are seeking a dynamic Nurse leader to oversee nursing operations in our Medical Day Unit. This permanent full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team in a newly built hospital environment.

Position Details:

  • 80 hours per fortnight

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing nursing staff, including recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management
  • Ensuring optimal staffing levels for safe, high-quality patient care
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Monitoring patient outcomes, satisfaction scores, and safety and quality KPIs
  • Managing the nursing department budget and identifying cost control opportunities

To be successful, candidates must have:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous management experience in a hospital setting
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in evidence-based nursing practices and patient safety
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
