Family Support Coordinator Role Overview
The Gracemere State School and Waraburra State School cluster are seeking a Family Support Coordinator to work on a five-day fortnight rotation across both sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- To collaborate with classroom teachers, teacher aides, and specialist support staff in understanding the needs of children and connecting families with relevant services.
- Supporting vulnerable children from diverse and complex backgrounds, including First Nations young persons with disability and young persons in care.
- Assisting school communities in advocating for vulnerable children and families to address their needs.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working in a culturally responsive manner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
- Knowledge of the regions demographic and local service providers and agency supports.
