About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law professional to lead our Family Law practice area. As Head of Family Law Practice, you will be responsible for developing and delivering on strategy, leading and driving the delivery of services, partnerships, and trauma-informed legal services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of family law solicitors
  • Champion and contribute to a multidisciplinary, trauma-informed service model
  • Mentor and facilitate professional development opportunities for your team
  • Ensure the practice actively contributes to law reform initiatives, public interest, and advocacy work
  • Develop partnership opportunities and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Manage complex casework as required, including representation in ACT and Commonwealth courts
Requirements
  • Eligibility to hold an ACT Unrestricted Practicing Certificate
  • Experience supervising legal practitioners and overseeing complex casework
  • High-level partnership development, community, and stakeholder relations skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed practice, reflection, and self-care practices
