About the Role

The Major Developments Planning Manager is a key position within Unitywater, responsible for planning the provision of services to support the expansion of our water and sewerage networks. This role requires a strong understanding of infrastructure planning, demand forecasting, and the water industry regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning of long-term infrastructure to service our rapidly growing region.
  • Develop and implement internal and external stakeholder engagement strategies to deliver strategic planning and asset reliability.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of water infrastructure agreements to mitigate financial risk.
  • Work with the Planning and Engineering teams to deliver Concept and Detailed Business Cases to support investment in projects.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree with significant experience in a utilities or infrastructure environment.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure planning, demand forecasting, and water industry regulatory environment.
  • Previous experience leading a team and ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in liaising with stakeholders at Board and Executive level.
