Case Manager - Complex Young People

This role provides senior case management and support services to complex, high-risk young people.

  • Key requirements include a strong knowledge of case management practice, experience in coordinating rehabilitative interventions for young people with complex needs at high risk of offending in the community, and understanding of the youth justice system.
  • A Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma in Community Services Work is highly desirable; other tertiary qualifications may be considered if they include units of study in case management/casework practice and have had supervised practical work placements.
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility in working within a dynamic and evolving operating model, and a full driver's licence are also essential.

About Us:

The Department of Justice and Community Safety provides community-based supervision and a range of case management and support services for young people who are appearing before, or have been sentenced by, the Children's Court, Children's Koori Court, and adult criminal courts.

About the Role:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the ability to influence and negotiate with clients and stakeholders at all levels, as well as respond to emergencies across the state at short notice and outside business hours.
