At the Department of Justice and Community Safety, we are seeking a Youth Justice Specialist to lead our team in providing case management services for young people.
About UsThe Youth Justice Team delivers community-based supervision and case management services for young individuals appearing before or having been sentenced by the Children's Court. Our team fosters personal growth in young offenders and contributes to reducing crime in the community.
About the RoleAs a Youth Justice Specialist, you will provide senior-level case management and support services to high-risk young individuals. You will collaborate with clients and stakeholders at all levels to negotiate positive outcomes that promote personal development.
You will be responsible for coordinating rehabilitative interventions for young people with complex needs, including those at risk of offending in the community. Your expertise in case management practice is essential in supporting the personal development of young offenders.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide senior-level case management and support services to high-risk young individuals.

- Expertise in case management practice.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility in working within a dynamic operating model.
- A Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma in Community Services Work is highly desirable.
- A full driver's license is required due to the need to respond to emergencies across the state.
- A current employee Working with Children Check card is required.
