About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Emanate Technology. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in protecting our clients' critical information assets and enhancing their security posture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Cybersecurity Initiatives: Develop and implement robust security frameworks to mitigate cyber risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Design and Implement Controls: Utilize your expertise in security standards like PSPF, ISM, Essential 8, and ISO to craft and enforce policies that safeguard government assets.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies that meet the needs of both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Support Accreditation and Compliance: Guide departments through accreditation processes, ensuring adherence to essential security standards and protocols.
  • Stay Ahead of Threats: Continuously enhance security measures to detect, deter, and respond to emerging cyber threats, ensuring the highest level of protection.
Requirements
  • Educational Background: A bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Security Expertise: In-depth knowledge of key security standards (PSPF, ISM, Essential 8, ISO 27000 series, NIST CSF, etc.), with proven experience in policy writing and implementation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong experience in IP networking, operating system security (Windows, Linux), and security technologies related to internet, web, and applications.
  • Accreditation Experience: Hands-on experience with IRAP and system certification processes.
  • Communication Proficiency: Ability to clearly communicate complex security concepts to diverse audiences, ensuring alignment and understanding across all levels.
  • Clearance: NV1 security clearance is mandatory for this role.
Desirable Skills
  • Cloud Security Experience: Preferably with Azure or AWS, enhancing your ability to secure cloud environments.
  • Leadership: Experience in managing or mentoring a team of security professionals, with a focus on improving organisational security.
  • Industry Certifications: Progress towards certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, or IRAP will be highly regarded.
