About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team at X15ventures. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating IaC-based security solutions focused on endpoint device security, identity management, and platform security domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate existing click ops configuration for endpoint device management and identity controls to code/infrastructure as code.
  • Code automations for everything from identity lifecycle events to security detection responses.
  • Embed security in production code via PaaS and DevSecOps.
  • Manage DevSecOps (secrets scanning, static analysis, and software composition analysis) across our portfolio of ventures.
  • Contribute to developing well-documented processes and procedures.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders, peers, and the wider X15 engineering community.
  • Ensure delivery of security services and guidance for teams in identifying control objectives and any potential control gaps.
Requirements
  • Experience/knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Experience/knowledge of configuring Azure cloud using Bicep IaC.
  • Experience/knowledge of DevSecOps tools such as GitHub Advanced Security and Snyk.
  • Proactive approach and passion for information security.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field would be highly regarded.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a technical software engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or security engineering role.
  • Experience writing code/infrastructure as code in a modern cloud environment.
  • Experience working with a modern CI/CD pipeline (ideally GitHub).
  • Domain knowledge and/or strong interest in cyber security.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and communicate/document solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
