About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will work under minimal supervision to provide daily living skills support, community inclusion, and participation activities to individuals with disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist our clients in achieving their goals and building their capacity for independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and personal care
  • Support community inclusion and participation activities, such as outings and social events
  • Assist with transportation to medical appointments and other activities
  • Implement tasks and routines outlined by approved medical professionals
  • Maintain and monitor health and behavior changes
  • Build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues
Requirements
  • Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or Community)
  • Current First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification
  • Australian Driver's Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Physical capacity to undertake the requirements of the role, including manual handling tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in our community
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with a minimum of 2 doses

What We Offer
  • Permanent part-time or casual contracts depending on your location and availability
  • Minimum hourly rate of $33.41 ($41.76 Casual) plus Super (SCHADS Level 2.1 or higher depending on qualification held)
  • Travel allowance of $0.99c per kilometre
  • Salary packaging up to $15,900 per FBT year prorate
  • Meal entertainment and venue hire annual cap of $2,650 per annum prorate
