Job Description

The Royal Women's Hospital is Australia's first and largest specialist hospital dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of newborns and women of all ages. Our Clinical Education Program supports the hospital to achieve its strategic directions by providing frameworks for the professional development of health professionals. The program enables the growth and maintenance of the future nursing and midwifery workforce through coordination of student, graduate, Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP) and specialty post-graduate programs.

We are innovators who take the lead in other workforce programs as they arise.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for creating positive learning and reflective practice environments for learners at all levels. You will share allocated portfolios that meet organisational need, including but not limited to:

  • Graduate and Transition to Specialty Practice Programs (registered and enrolled)
  • Aboriginal Nursing and midwifery cadet programs and other Aboriginal workforce programs
  • Pre-registration student programs
  • Attendance and link with various clinical quality, safety and research forums

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Registration as a nurse and registration as a midwife with recent and extensive current experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create positive learning and reflective practice environments for learners at all levels
  • Previous experience in Women's health would be highly regarded
