Accounts Payable Expert

The Senior Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for providing high-quality support across the Accounts Payable function. This role plays a key part in ensuring the Department's financial governance policies and delegations are consistently applied.
This position is central to the smooth operation of the AP function, with responsibility for purchasing card administration, reconciliations, expense audits, supplier set-up and amendments, and payment processing.
You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring processes are clearly documented, service standards are met, and performance metrics are achieved. From time to time, you may be required to provide cross-skilling support across the wider AP and compliance functions.
To excel in this role, you will bring proven experience in accounts payable operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. A collaborative approach, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and knowledge of financial systems are highly valued.
