The Role

The Assistant Manager - In Room Dining oversees all aspects of the department. The Assistant Manager must maintain and control a high level of guest service. This is achieved by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service, coordination with the kitchen, and demonstrated by the In Room Dining team members.

Provides inspirational leadership, clear vision, and direction to team members to ensure delivery of the brand values and vision, to create an amazing experience for our guests and team members.

Achieves and maintains guest and hotel performance targets. Manages the daily operations of the department and ensures that all team members comply with service standards, departmental policies, and operating procedures set by the hotel.

Ensures flawless, upscale, professional, and high-class guest service experiences as a role model and expertise in all in room dining-related aspects.

Be an exemplary role model in inspiring team members through strong demonstration of the Service Philosophy.

Ensures consistency in providing luxury quality of service, food, and beverage to the guests.

Ensures that the equipment and premises of service are well-maintained and reports any work order issues to the engineering department.

Leads the line-up briefings and monthly meetings within the team.

Maintains strong working relationships with other departments to ensure effective communications for operational issues, serves as a role model for inter-departmental collaboration and support.

Maintains a level of cost control for operational expenses and payroll related.

Assists with recruitment and retention strategies for the success of the department.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a similar role/capacity at luxury hotels/resorts or renowned venues.
  • Food & Beverage/Room Division related experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of restaurant management systems (e.g., POS, Reservation System, Purchasing System).
  • Excellent communicator with personable character and a passion in guest relations management.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
