We are currently seeking an experienced In Room Dining Sous Chef to join us at our newly launched In-Room Dining kitchen on the 5th floor of Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

Job Description
As our In-Room Sous Chef, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing our in-room dining service, while maximizing profitability and meeting customer's needs.
Assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in the management of the kitchen team to maximise food profitability
Experience in luxury hotels - highly desirable
Preparing, cooking, plating In Room Dining menu items and special requests that guests may request
Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
Ensuring that food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques meet Brand Standard guidelines and are maintained at that level
Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in developing new menus and concepts
Requirements for the role
Creative flair with current food trend
Skilled with International cuisine
Thrive in a large, busy and fast paced work environment with efficiency, organisation, time management and attention to detail
Committed and a passionate about cooking with a strong focus on food quality and presentation
Ability to create recipe cards
Strong leadership with the ability to train team members
Have a keen eye for detail
Strong communication skills can follow direction and work well in a team environment
A minimum of 2/3 years' experience in similar role
