About the Role

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will report to the Senior Manager HR/HSEQT and provide support and guidance to Ausdrill operations and the broader Ausdrill group in Human Resources matters. Your focus will be on building people capability, implementing developmental strategies, and managing employee-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the delivery of human resources initiatives aligning with the business strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including operations, employees, parent groups, and client representatives.
  • Assist with coaching leaders to manage and take accountability for people decisions effectively and consistently, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Provide support and advice across all business areas to ensure the understanding of all relevant employment industrial instruments and employee entitlements.
  • Assist in the review of HR and related policies and procedures.

Educate and coach managers and employees on HR policies and procedures to ensure HR compliance with legislation. Provide support and coaching to key stakeholders regarding employee relations and performance management. Assist with the management and investigation of disciplinary matters, employee issues, or grievances. Assist with the development and implementation of industrial instruments. Contribute to HR reporting and data analytics. Facilitate the roll-out of HR-related training and workshops as required. Engage in continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, researching solutions, and implementing changes. Participate in regular site visits.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in an operational HR role, preferably within the mining or resources sector. High level of communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels. Ability to educate and coach various levels of the organisation regarding employment legislation and other legislative observations. Highly developed planning and organisation skills. Good level of knowledge and understanding of employment and industrial relations, legislation, and regulations. Ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of the COAL industry is advantageous. Experience in negotiating IFA's desirable. Working towards, or degree in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations or demonstrated experience desirable.
