Overview

KPMG Futures, a specialist team focused on the future, is seeking an exceptional AI Innovation Strategist. As part of the AI Labs team, this role will play a key part in developing prototypes and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to identify potential new business opportunities for the firm and its clients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Building prototypes & POCs in next-gen AI

Assisting in driving the execution of a plan to explore, identify and test hypotheses using next-gen AI to create new businesses. Contribute to tech stack decisions for development, leveraging knowledge of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or working with tech startups to support hypothesis testing.

Developing a roadmap for the application of next-gen AI

Familiarizing yourself with future tech, new tech tools and domain expertise to understand emerging AI capability. Be curious about how tech works algorithmically and what's required for implementation. Assist in identifying where and how future tech and new tech tools can create new opportunities for the firm and its clients.

Working with stakeholders within the firm and clients

Keeping stakeholders updated on progress and challenges, ensuring they understand risks as well as opportunities. Work with stakeholders to understand the business context around developed prototypes and POCs, articulating required support for successful completion.

Building credibility in Future Tech

Engaging with tech and research industries to build knowledge, relationships and establish the firm as a Future Tech leader. Assist engagement with partners and alliances to form relationships that support development, enhance positioning and inform new business opportunity ideas.

About You

Your Experience

At KPMG, we value diversity of thought, background and unique experience. To be considered, your qualifications, skills & experience may include:

  • Prior experience working in next-gen AI as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Engineer or Software Developer.
  • Experience designing, creating and orchestrating end-to-end data pipelines on a cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure, including ingestion of structured & unstructured data sources, feature engineering for ML development, machine learning model training and model deployment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Java and C++, coupled with the ability to leverage SDKs and APIs to bring the best of tech together.
  • Comfortable working with various development environments such as cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) or third parties (tech start-ups) to choose and use appropriate services to create end-to-end data pipelines.
  • You're a collaborative developer who leverages code base (DevOps) to use version control (git) and document work (wiki, confluence) to enable the rest of their team.
  • Familiarity with front-end development frameworks (e.g. React.JS) will be looked upon favourably.
  • Ability to develop prototypes, pilots and POCs.

Location: London, UK. Estimated salary range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
