KPMG Futures is a pioneering team pushing the boundaries of future technologies, services, and business models. As an AI Prototyping Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge prototypes and proof-of-concepts to identify novel business opportunities for our clients and KPMG.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Innovative Prototypes and POCs Assist in driving the execution of a plan to explore, identify, and test hypotheses using next-generation AI. Contribute to tech stack decisions for development, leveraging your expertise in cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or collaborating with tech startups to support hypothesis execution through prototype and POC development. You will work across the entire AI lifecycle from data modeling to model deployment, utilizing your knowledge of cloud, databases, and APIs.
  • Crafting a Roadmap for Next-Gen AI Adoption Familiarize yourself with emerging AI capabilities, staying curious about how algorithms work and what's required for implementation. Assist in identifying where and how future technologies can create new opportunities for the firm and our clients. Experiment with and integrate new tech tools in prototypes and POCs to assess their value and limitations, including both high and low-code tech tools. Contribute to research into next-gen AI that informs thought leadership.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders Keep stakeholders informed about progress and challenges, ensuring they understand the risks and opportunities. Work with stakeholders to understand the business context around the prototype and POC you develop, clearly articulating their required support for successful completion. Assist in demo sessions to gather stakeholder feedback and validate development direction.
  • BUILDING Credibility in Future Tech Engage with the tech and research industries to build knowledge, relationships, and establish KPMG as a leader in future technologies. Form relationships with partners and alliances to support development, enhance positioning, and inform new business opportunity ideas.

To be considered for this opportunity, you may possess:

  • Prior experience in next-gen AI as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Engineer, or Software Developer.
  • Experience designing, creating, and orchestrating end-to-end data pipelines on a cloud platform, preferably Microsoft Azure, including ingestion of structured and unstructured data sources, feature engineering for ML development, machine learning model training, and model deployment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, Java, and C++, coupled with the ability to leverage SDKs and APIs to bring the best of tech together.
  • Comfortable working with various development environments, such as cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure) or third parties (tech start-ups), to choose and use the appropriate services to create end-to-end data pipelines.
  • You are a collaborative developer who leverages codebases (DevOps) to use version control (git) and document their work (wiki, confluence) on the go to enable the rest of their team.
  • Familiarity with front-end development frameworks will be looked upon favorably.
  • Ability to develop prototypes, pilots, and proof-of-concepts (POC).
