We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify growth opportunities and ensure we are considered for proposals.
  • Contribute to the development of effective winning strategies.
  • Seek out new customers and explore emerging sectors to drive business expansion.
Business Development
  • Develop strategies and plans for new projects, including tracking potential opportunities and evaluating and prioritizing business growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and conduct presentations with prospective customers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain strategic business relationships with major clients to promote brand awareness and profitable business relationships.
  • Actively participate in industry workshops, conferences, and forums.
  • Create and implement strategies for new business clients based on strategic plan and market intelligence.
  • Contribute to strategy development plan for business and consult with operational groups for input.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with partners, including consultants and key subcontractors.
  • Interact and create opportunities with other business units within the company.
Client Relations
  • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with new and existing clients to promote brand awareness and business relationships.
  • Create and implement strategies for clients based on current and anticipated customer requirements.
  • Maintain open and initiative-taking communications with clients.
Governance
  • Ensure business tender documents and negotiations are undertaken in a way that protects interests.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of all aspects of our business development and opportunity tracking systems.
  • Manage client expectations around commercial framework.
  • Periodically check and refresh strategic development plan with all parts of the business.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the Telecommunications or Electrical industries with a known client base.
  • Experience working for a telecommunications contractor and/or Telecommunications provider.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing customers, developing account plans, and preparing presentations to key clients.
  • Significant experience in commercial management, client management, and working with operations groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in market research, opportunity identification, tender preparation, securing internal approvals, and transition procedures.

Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering (Telecommunication, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or other), or a related discipline, preferred but not essential.
