About the Role

UGL is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to support a range of exciting Oil & Gas projects across Western Australia. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the implementation and maintenance of effective HSE programs and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish and cultivate a safety culture in alignment with UGL's One HSE Culture Framework.
  2. Partner with Contract Management to deliver client-relevant initiatives and drive project strategy.
  3. Implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and provide guidance to project teams.
  4. Assist with Return to Work programs and ensure injury management compliance.
  5. Review site-specific HSE documentation and induction programs.
  6. Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations and standards.
  7. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
  8. Develop project-specific HSE Performance Reports.
  9. Report on safety performance at project operational meetings.
  10. Foster a culture of safety consciousness and environmental responsibility among all project team members.
  11. Ad-hoc site travel as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Degree qualified in Occupational / Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a HSE role working on Onshore Oil & Gas projects or high-risk environments.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of HSE legislation, regulations, and best practices.
  4. Demonstrated capability to develop and implement HSE management systems.
  5. Experience in leading incident investigations.
  6. Experience in developing and leading training and presentations to small and large groups.
  7. Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office).
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
