Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to join our team at Brunel. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our offshore operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with contractors and site leaders to ensure effective safety integration.
- Support and implement the HSE Bridging Document to ensure compliance with Environment Protection (EP) commitments and Safety Case requirements.
- Lead and conduct site HSE inspections and assurance activities to promote a culture of safety.
- Facilitate understanding of BPCA and COEM requirements among site teams.
- Drive adherence to Safety Case and EP assurance activities on site.
- Promote and uphold Chevron's safety culture and alignment with Well Safe requirements.
- Attend site-based safety leadership meetings and foster continuous safety improvement.
- Oversee compliance with Chevron's contractual HSE standards, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in progress meetings, walkthroughs, II&R activities, IMPACT reporting, and more.
- Ensure contractors adhere to safe work practices and participate in external audit coordination.
Perth Support Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain documentation, including handover sheets, assurance schedules, V&V checklists, and chemical listings.
- Assist with reviewing and updating the HSE Bridging Document as needed.
- Support pre-mobilization assurance activities, such as audits and bow tie mitigation reviews.
- Review contractor-submitted HSE documentation for compliance.
- Participate in HAZID workshops upon request.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in an offshore HSE role, with a strong background in compliance and assurance activities.
- Proven knowledge of EP and Safety Case requirements, BPCA, and COEM standards.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence safety culture in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Familiarity with Chevron's HSE systems and safety standards is a plus.
