Enterprise Risk Manager Job Description

As a key member of our organization, the Enterprise Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the risk framework. This involves overseeing risk functions and processes across all entities, providing strategic guidance to business unit leaders, and collaborating with the General Counsel to implement a comprehensive approach to risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute a layered risk assessment strategy to identify and prioritize risks across the organization.
  • Manage recurring risk management tasks, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as Chair and coordinate the Risk Oversight Committee structure for each entity, fostering collaboration and informed decision-making.
  • Conduct internal control reviews to test high-risk processes, ensuring adherence to internal procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the Director of Information Technology in managing the company's Information Security program, including vendor risk assessments, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery testing.
  • Oversee compliance calendar management and testing using compliance management tools, tracking required tests and certifications.
  • Collaborate with compliance officers in business units to manage compliance programs, including risk assessments, regulatory updates, and testing procedures.
  • Coordinate internal and external audit functions, scheduling audits, AML/BSA audits, and preparing for regulatory examinations.

Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential for this position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong research, analytical, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to self-identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:
  • College degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

This is a mid-senior level, full-time position requiring occasional travel (< 5% of the time).
