Senior Risk Assessment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Assessment Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with experience working with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.

The selected individual will play a critical role in monitoring the credit performance of our lending book and providing timely, accurate, and insightful analysis to facilitate decision making.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing reporting and actionable insights covering the entire credit lifecycle to optimise commercial decisions.
  • Maintaining a close eye on key metrics as per the agreed credit risk appetite and proactively initiating discussions and deep dives as necessary.
  • Evaluating information from multiple sources to ensure the integrity of reports and analysis.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Supporting the development of advanced analytical tools like scorecards/predictive modelling/decision trees etc. to optimise risk and pricing decisions.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • A Bachelor's degree with a business or mathematical focus is preferred.
  • Proactiveness, energy, and passion to work in a fast-paced execution focused environment.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to deliver under challenging and time-critical requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in analysis and visualisation tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
