Dump Truck Operator
Job DescriptionThe Dump Truck Operator is responsible for operating machinery efficiently, safely and competently to ensure maximum output.
This includes complying with policies and procedures, responding to instructions from supervisors, positioning machinery for efficient loading, setting and maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and carrying out pre-start checks.
Key responsibilities include operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, excavators, and bulldozers in a safe and controlled environment, adhering to strict safety protocols, and participating in ongoing training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a production dump truck operator in mining or a related industry.
Equivalent experience operating Caterpillar 793F dump trucks is highly desirable. A valid Australian driver's license is also mandatory.
In addition to these qualifications, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, a strong focus on safety and compliance, and a willingness to learn and develop their skills and knowledge.
